Join Conscious Connections and Sit with Britt Mindfulness for a half day retreat to celebrate International Women’s Day!
Who is this retreat for?
Women and non-binary folk in the LGBTQ+ community seeking a space to connect with others that goes beyond the usual pub and club scene. This includes individuals who are open to shared experiences, participation in group activities, and developing meaningful connections with others who are on a similar journey to yourself.
Open to adults only, aged 18+. You must also be comfortable using saunas.
When and where does it take place?
The event takes place on Sunday March 09th 2025, starting at 10am.

09.45am Meet at Grizzly’s at The GAP Kitchen. As a group we will walk to the event starting point.
10.00am One hour Mindfulness session with Britt
11.00am Get changed / prepared for the Yurt Sauna Experience
11.15am Private session for our group in the Yurt Sauna, with access to cold showers and lake
12.15pm Finish the sauna session and get changed
12.30pm Walk back to The GAP Kitchen and enjoy lunch. Food is available to purchase on site or you can bring a packed lunch
12.45pm Tarot card pulling and chats over tasty food

How much does it cost?
€60 per person + Eventbrite registration fee. If you are driving the car park costs €2 per car.

How will I get to the venue?
You can find The GAP on Ballybrack Road, just off of the R116 and close to Johnny Fox’s pub. They are smack dab in the middle of Glencullen, and they’ve got good roads connecting to Dublin City Centre, which is just 45 minutes away, and the town of Wicklow, which is only 36 minutes away.

Is it possible to get there using public transport?
The nearest bus stop to Glencullen Adventure Park is Johnnie Fox’s. It’s a 4 min walk away. These bus lines stop near Glencullen Adventure Park: 44B, 63. If you intend on taking public transport to attend this event please do some research beforehand, and be conscious of Sunday bus times which may be less frequent.
What should I pack?
Please bring a mat or comfortable cushion / blanket for the mindfulness sessions. For the sauna, you will need your swim gear, water and a towel to sit on. Flip flops would also come in handy! If you are not purchasing lunch on site bring a packed lunch.
Who is hosting this retreat?
Karina, the founder of Conscious Connections, is hosting this retreat as a way to offer alternative ways of connecting with others in environments that foster improved health and well-being for everyone who comes along. She has a Master’s degree in Health Promotion and has dedicated both volunteer and work efforts to the LGBTQ+ community for several years. Health promotion in its various aspects, including physical, mental, and emotional well-being, is a particular passion of hers.

Our mindfulness leader is the wonderful Britt. With 6 years of experience working with individuals with special abilities and a decade of shaping bodies and minds as a personal trainer and strength coach, she’s now fusing her passions as she coaches meditation and pursues her integrative humanistic psychotherapy qualification.
Her sanctuary is a safe harbour for growth and healing, where every soul is embraced with warmth and understanding. As a dedicated youth mentor with BelongTo LGBTQ youth services, she shares the gift of meditation, lighting up young hearts. Certified by the esteemed MMTCP, Britt’s journey is one of profound dedication and growth. She extends her nurturing touch to all corners of Ireland by collaborating with local companies, including the Irish Cancer Society and LGBTQIA+ organisations. Sit with Britt and discover the gentle power of self-discovery and connection.

Cancellation Policy
You can cancel at no cost up until 7 days before the retreat. After this we cannot offer any refunds unless the event is sold out and we find someone else to take your place.
